🧪 Agar Culture Preparation Guide
Ingredients:
-Agar-Agar Powder (20g/L)
-Nutrient Source (e.g. malt extract, potato dextrose, yeast extract – 20g/L)
-Distilled Water (1L)
-Sterile Petri Dishes
Procedure:
-Mix agar powder + nutrient source in distilled water.
-Sterilize at 15 PSI for 15–20 minutes.
-Pour into Petri dishes while still liquid (fill ~50% depth).
-Cool until solidified.
-Inoculate with spores or mycelium using aseptic technique.
-Incubate in a warm, dark place and monitor regularly.
